Two small glands lying on either side of the male urethra below the prostate.
The Cowper's glands secrete a clear, slick pre-ejaculate fluid (known as Cowper's fluid, or informally as "precum") which neutralizes the acidity within the urethra and lubricates the space between the foreskin and glans. The amount of precum produced varies greatly, ranging from none at all to a continuous flow in some individuals.
