Tissue expansion is the biological mechanism which makes non-surgical foreskin restoration possible. When the cells of the shaft skin and any remaining inner skin are put under tension, they first stretch and then gradually begin to divide (See Mitosis). The addition of new cells is the process by which the skin expands and grows.
